This is how Nintendo started in 1889. Fusajiro Yamauchi founded Nintendo Koppai for the purposes of producing and selling hand-crafted Hanafuda cards painted on mulberry tree bark. Not to mention Nintendo was invented in Kyoto, Japan. Hanafuda cards came about to be replacements for foreign playing cards which were banned at the time in Japan. They combined traditional Japanese games with Western-style playing cards. Hanafuda cards do not have numbers (the main purpose is to associate images) and playing time of a game is long.
